We just celebrated the success of another group of driven Micro and Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) completing our Digital Acceleration for Learning & Industry Adoption (DALIA) Turbocharge All’Spark 2024: AI for Productivity program with the Malaysia Productivity Corporation, designed specifically to boost productivity through Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.

Congratulations to our MSME Turbochargers 2024! Tharwa Builders, NFA Technologies Sdn Bhd, JDV Cafe (the venue host for the final presentations), Triple Thrust Sdn Bhd (Dapur Mama), Gamat Emas Sdn Bhd, WeAssist Sdn Bhd, Suncrox Sdn Bhd, Diet Your Way Sdn Bhd, Enable OKU Solutions (ENOKU) & Ultranovate Sdn Bhd.
AI Tools included in the program included marketing tools with AI – Cleve.ai, Mesolitica, Mimin, Pixlr, ChatGPT, VideoGen & Money Robot, project management Tools with AI – Asana & ClickUp, accounting tool with AI – Bukku and general process automation tools with AI – Beseek, Lekir Tech & OEMS Intipakar.

Our four-month program helped businesses test 11 different AI tools, guided by the TurbochargeMyBrand framework.
Through the DALIA programme, MSMEs have adopted various technologies to tackle key business challenges. Positioned as early adopters or early majority, these businesses have moved from exploring innovation to integrating them with measurable outcomes. The adoption lifecycle as per Figure 1, which ranges from innovators to laggards, reflects MSMEs’ readiness to embrace change and leverage technology.

The results? Participating MSMEs are now leveraging technology to overcome business hurdles while seeing real, measurable improvements in productivity. The lean metrics adopted by the MSMEs to measure the productivity impact represent the significant impact of their adoption of AI tools on their productivity at the early testing phase.
Think of the benefits: reduced manual tasks, quicker decision-making processes, and more time to focus on what’s important—growing your business.
We observed how these businesses, numbering 10, shifted from being mere explorers of innovation to becoming adept users with tangible results.
The secret to their success is embracing change with an open mindset and being willing to measure their progress with clear, lean metrics. This approach helps them understand and maximise the productivity gains from AI.
